Sunrise at Iroquois Steeplechase

Another reason to always have a camera ready, even when you think the weather isn't all that great. I passed this place the day before I shot it and decided to try to get a sunrise the next day. When I woke up the next morning, I almost didn't take my gear, as I thought it was too cloudy (overcast). But I did anyway. By the time I reached Percy Warner Parks in Nashville, the clouds broke up nicely. After I got out there, I found the Steeplechase wasn't as nice looking as I hoped (WAY TOO MANY PORTAPOTTIES!)...but the sky was wonderful. See More about Sunrise at Iroquois Steeplechase

Old Faithful - 2013

A pretty decent shot. I had to crop in from the 6x6 frame due to a significant amount of IR light leak on the top right. However, I was still able to maintain the awesome clouds this day. See More about Old Faithful - 2013

Yellowstone 2013 - White Dome Geyser

Some shots of the White Dome Geyser on Fire Lake Drive in Yellowstone National Park. These are some digital shots I was taking at the same time I was shooting with my Pentax 6x7 and Rolleiflex. The light on this trip wasn't very cooperative, except some brief periods. This proved to be one of them. I'll post the film shots later, if they turn out any good (waiting for development). Oak Tree, Tennessee

Taken in Fairview, TN near sunset in March 2013 (before the trees started to get leaves). I always thought this tree looks cool without leaves, not so much with leaves. I even think the Keep Out sign on it adds to the image. See More about Oak Tree, Tennessee
