Another reason to always have a camera ready, even when you think the weather isn't all that great. I passed this place the day before I shot it and decided to try to get a sunrise the next day. When I woke up the next morning, I almost didn't take my gear, as I thought it was too cloudy (overcast). But I did anyway. By the time I reached Percy Warner Parks in Nashville, the clouds broke up nicely. After I got out there, I found the Steeplechase wasn't as nice looking as I hoped (WAY TOO MANY PORTAPOTTIES!)...but the sky was wonderful. See More about Sunrise at Iroquois Steeplechase
A pretty decent shot. I had to crop in from the 6x6 frame due to a significant amount of IR light leak on the top right. However, I was still able to maintain the awesome clouds this day. See More about Old Faithful - 2013
Here is a shot of the White Dome Geyser taken with a Pentax 6x7 and Kodak Ektar 100. The sun appeared between the clouds here and illuminated the steam. Too bad they geyser didn't go off here. It goes off every 20 minutes or so. See More about Yellowstone 2013 - White Dome Geyser
Some shots of the White Dome Geyser on Fire Lake Drive in Yellowstone National Park. These are some digital shots I was taking at the same time I was shooting with my Pentax 6x7 and Rolleiflex. The light on this trip wasn't very cooperative, except some brief periods. This proved to be one of them. I'll post the film shots later, if they turn out any good (waiting for development). Recently I took the family out to Yellowstone and we had a blast. I had some time to do some photography. The lighting this trip wasn't the best but I did get a a few shots of an elk and a raven that I like See More about Yellowstone 2013 - Elk and Raven
